| Where Will You Be in a Million Years?
I have something to ask you. Where will you be in fifty years? Will you still be alive? Well, that's possible, but what about in a hundred years? Will you still exist or will you just be nothing. Will you be like an old bar of soap? When you are all used up there is nothing left and you just don't exist anymore?
Let me clear this up. One hundred years from now you will be very much alive. In fact, a million years from now you will exist. You will have thought. You will have intellect and you will have feelings. The question is not whether you will be alive or not. The question is where will you be?
It may not seem logical, but what you do in this lifetime determines where you will be for all eternity. In the short time of 100 years or less, you will determine your existence forever. How long is eternity? It's not measurable because it's never-ending.
If you wanted to measure the length of something, what would you do? First, you would find a measuring device, a ruler or tape measure. Then you would go to one end and start measuring. But what if there was no end? It would be impossible to measure, right? Well, that's the way it is with eternity - no beginning and no end. Time was created for man and we live within the framework of time. It has a beginning and it will have an end. God, however, does not live in time. He lives in eternity and someday we will be in eternity also. But we have a choice to make. Do we live in eternity with God and with all the greatness of heaven or do we live in eternity without Him in outer darkness, commonly called Hell? The choice is ours.
God sent His Son Jesus to earth to live and die as a man. When Jesus was crucified, the powers of darkness thought they had destroyed God’s plan for mankind, but they were wrong. Jesus came back to life and is now with God the Father.
The Bible says if we will accept and believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead, and if we will choose to make Jesus the leader of our life, then we will be saved from an eternity of darkness. Instead we will live for all eternity with Jesus in heaven.
Look at what the Bible says. In Romans
If you would like to accept Jesus into your heart, pray this prayer now.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Your Son Jesus into this world to die for my sins and for raising Him from the dead so that I can have everlasting life. I recognize Jesus as my Savior and as the Lord of my life. I repent of my sins and I forgive those who have wronged me. I will confess Jesus before men. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen.
Welcome to the family of God. You will now spend eternity with God. |
